RoadRunnerTL
2006 is a comprehensive national street data product
derived from the United States Census Bureau's
TIGER/Line files.
TerraNOVA
is
pleased to offer RoadRunnerTL 2006 by AnalyGIS -
an updated extract and translation of the United States
Census Bureau’s 2006 TIGER/Line files.
As the third release of TIGER/Line data to
include enhancements from the U.S. Census Bureau’s MAF/TIGER
Enhancement Program (MTEP), this release includes
updated address information and improved positional
accuracy never seen before in the TIGER product.
RoadRunnerTL
2006 is a national street dataset that includes the most
popular and relevant layers for analysis (see list of 43
layers at right). RoadRunnerTL 2006 can be tiled by
county or by state, is available in either MapInfo .TAB format, or ESRI Shapefile format,
and comes in two flavors - RoadRunnerTL 2006 Display, and RoadRunnerTL
2006 with Address Information, which can be used for
geocoding purposes.
What's
New in 2006
RoadRunnerTL 2006 now comes compressed,
making it easier to install and access. 271 additional counties
have been completely updated by the Census Bureau and added to
RoadRunnerTL 2006, including
many that contain large metros across the United States.
Additionally, a wide array of point data from the United
States Geological Survey's Geographic Names
Information System (GNIS) has been incorporated, such as
airports, schools, hospitals, parks, towers, buildings,
cemeteries, and populated places. Lastly, Census 2000
variables including income, population and education
information have been provided along with Block Group and
Census Tract Boundaries in order to provide users with means
for basic geodemographic analysis.
