International, LLC is a virtual team of experienced sales and
support experts with many years of operating and
technical knowledge in the utilization of desktop
mapping tools for a variety of business and government
applications.

David
Ries - President
David brings over ten years of sales experience to the
business. David has sold GIS applications and solutions
to major retail firms, real estate companies, financial
services organizations, and service- based companies,
including those among the Fortune 500.
Tracy
Walklet - Sales Manager
Tracy started working in the geographic data analysis
field as a consultant/technical writer at Resource
Planning Associates in Cambridge, MA.
This experience led to positions in the Center
for Resource and Environmental Systems Studies at
Stanford Research Institute and at the Electric Power
Research Institute in Palo Alto, CA.
She was a co-founder of Terra-Mar Resource
Information Services, one of the first companies to
develop raster satellite image processing software for
the PC. Terra-Mar
was the first authorized reseller for Strategic
Mapping’s Atlas GIS software, at one time a primary
competitor of MapInfo Corp.
However, by 1994, Tracy concluded that MapInfo
had the premier desktop mapping product on the market so
founded TerraNOVA International to focus on MapInfo
product sales and support.
Ian
Erickson - Programmer & Application Developer
Ian
has leveraged his academic training which focused on
interdisciplinary studies in physics, math, and computer
science, to become a highly productive developer of
sophisticated mapping applications.
Early experience as Translation & Fulfillment
Department Manager at BLR Data in Tucson, AZ led to a
position at Empower Geographics in Des Plaines, IL as a
Senior GIS Application Developer creating advanced
mapping software applications for the telecommunications
marketplace. While at Telocity, in Cupertino, CA, in the role of Target
Marketing Specialist he worked with broadband
communications providers.
Most recently, under the business name, AnalyGIS,
based in Gold Canyon, AZ, he collaborates with TerraNOVA
to develop desktop and web-based mapping applications to
aid in strategic, logistical and marketing decisions.
In his spare time, Ian is a volunteer member with
Superstition Search and Rescue.
Bill
Kruse - Software & Hardware Engineer
Bill
is a hands-on, problem-solving engineer with diversified
technical management experience and a personal focus on
networked computer hardware/software system architecture
and application integration. Field applications of
communications, networking, data acquisition, telemetry
and computers have placed Bill in Alaska, England and
Mexico – as well as on Easter Island, on ships, in
aircraft and at airfields, in association with
government, commercial, academic, and non-profit
organizations. At
Terra-Mar Resource Information Services, Inc. he was
Director of Engineering and instrumental in the
development and utilization of remote sensing software,
networked multi-platform computer systems, aircraft
installations, large data set management, and spatial
database applications. Bill is a member of the IEEE, ACM and The Explorers Club and
is a serious mountain climber.
Donn
Walklet - Aerial & Satellite Imagery Specialist
Donn
has started and managed five companies focused on the
use of digital earth imagery from aircraft and
satellites to create up-to-date thematic maps for a wide
range of applications including oil and mineral
exploration, forestry and agriculture, real estate,
wireless telecommunications and post-disaster resource
management. His
business experience has involved working with U.S. and
foreign governments as well as major multinational
corporations, providing products and consulting services
related to the use of earth imagery in their business
operations. Donn
holds a B.S. degree in geology from Stanford University
and a MBA from Harvard Business School.
He spent twenty-five years as an active and
reserve Naval Aviator in the U.S. Navy flying P-3 Orions
performing various missions including ocean surveillance
and antisubmarine warfare.
Most recently, Donn was affiliated with the
Office of Naval Research and the Space and Naval Warfare
Systems Command advising in areas of ocean sensing and
earth observation technology.
Shari
Erickson - GIS Analyst & Webmaster
Shari holds a degree in Environmental Studies &
Planning - Water Quality with a Minor in Geology from
Sonoma State University. After working as an
environmental regulator for the California Regional
Water Quality Control Board, she moved to Tucson,
Arizona where she worked for BLR Data as a GIS
Technician, and later as Product Manager for BLR's
Traffic & Highway Volumes products. This led to a
position with Empower Geographics as a MapInfo Certified
Instructor. She also assisted with web design and
marketing strategies. More recently, Shari has worked
with the commercial real estate firm CB Richard Ellis in
San Jose, California, and Tempe, Arizona as a
Mapping Specialist. In 2002, Shari joined AnalyGIS and
has been working as a GIS Analyst and contract web
designer. Shari enjoys hiking, rock-hounding, and
kayaking in her free time.
